SPORTIME Amagansett Opening Weekend Update - Delayed Opening Date!
SPORTIME Amagansett was scheduled to open for our 37th season this coming Saturday, April 12th, 2025. Unfortunately, we will need to delay our 2025 opening by one week, with our new opening date now set for Saturday, April 19th.
Our crew has been working 7 days a week since the first week in March to execute our earliest opening ever, but, unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. It has been cold and windy, with freezing overnight temperatures, and this morning the courts were covered with a sheet of ice. Based on the current weather forecast, it will not be warm enough, or dry enough, for us to prepare the courts in time for this weekend without the possibility of damaging them. So, we will take the extra week to make the courts, and everything else at the club, perfect for our opening. We hope that the weather will cooperate, and improve, so we do not expect any further delays, but, of course, we will share any updates if they are needed.
Weather allowing (Saturday is forecast as a wash out), we will be offering scheduled clinics and lessons on our hard court, so please let us know if you have any questions about our programs or services, or about rescheduling bookings for this weekend.
