College Planning Alliance was founded by Touby McCammon, President and CEO, and David Drummond, Vice-President, in 2009. College Planning Alliance has since helped thousands of students gain college admission.

After completing college and marrying his college sweetheart, Touby knew the college admissions process was complex and more costly than necessary. The unknowns for him and his wife when they went through college resulted in years of debt for them to tackle as a young married couple. He knew there had to be a better way.

After receiving his degree from Malone College and working for a Fortune 500 company for eleven years, Touby opened his own financial planning firm. He mastered the financial aid formulas and developed specific strategies for both students and parents to lower the overall out-of-pocket expenses to attend college.

Recognizing an enormous need for college prep and planning, he started College Planning Alliance to help both students and parents navigate the complexities of college prep and planning. He has helped thousands of families save time, stress, and a lot of money. College Planning Alliance prides itself on educating families so they can make better-informed decisions about college and college planning while creating outcomes that students and parents/families are both seeking.
